Description:

Part of the Desert Star Holdings project in Vieux Fort, St. Lucia, the Royal Crescentia Hotel is a four-star luxury hotel to be constructed using an array of shipping containers supported by column and beam framing to the ground floor. The ground investigation at the hotel site was commissioned to confirm assumptions made by the designer, thereby only requiring GID to submit a factual report on the ground conditions. Access to the site was made easy as the topography is flat, with the site cleared of all vegetation prior to commencing the investigation. Two CPTs were conducted, as required by the project Terms of Reference, to a maximum depth of 16m.
